UbuCon Asia : Journey From A Speaker To An Organizer
UbuCon Asia 2025 is coming to Kathmandu, Nepal. This is a once-in-a-country opportunity. It brings together open-source enthusiasts, DevOps professionals, cloud innovators, and tech leaders to explore the latest in Ubuntu, Linux, and open-source technologies. In this session, I will share my journey from being a speaker at UbuCon Asia to leading the successful bid to bring the conference to Nepal. I will provide insights into what it takes to organize a major international open-source event and how the DevOps, Cloud, and SRE communities can directly benefit from UbuCon Asia 2025. Attendees will learn about the upcoming conference plans, key focus areas, and ways to engage with the event, whether as speakers, contributors, or participants. If you're passionate about open source, DevOps, and community-driven innovation, this session will give you a behind-the-scenes look at organizing a global tech conference and why you should be part of it.
